The Ultimate Coffee Date ~~ February, 2019

How is it already February? It seems we were just celebrating Christmas. I guess since I haven’t completely put all of my decorations away, it’s easy to be caught in a bit of a time warp. We are in the throes of a polar vortex, so as for January, I say good riddance. On to bigger and better things. Let’s sit down for a warm cup of coffee and have a chat, shall we?

If we were having coffee, I would tell you I am on day five of traveling to five different states in three different times zones with countless flight delays and cancellations due to the weather. As I write this I am on a flight to California to run the Surf City Half Marathon on Sunday. I’ll fly back home on Sunday evening, and then on Tuesday I am off to Seattle for the remainder of the week. This traveling stuff is for the birds. I touched down in Chicago at around 9:00 p.m. yesterday, sat on the ice cold tarmac for an hour and 40 minutes, and arrived home just before midnight only to wake up a few hours later for a 7:00 a.m. airport pickup.

Over coffee I would tell you that while I’m complaining about so much travel, I’m looking at flights to Puerto Vallarta. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that PV is my absolute favorite vacation spot. My heaven on earth. The salt on my margarita glass. Once again the whole gang is going so we are looking forward to way too much eating, way too much drinking, and way too much fun. ¡Arriba, abajo, al centro, pa’ dentro! Let the insanity begin.

If we were having coffee I would tell you that the London Marathon is just 12 weeks away! You know me and training, but this time I have a plan! I’ve signed up for a few races between now and then, so even if I don’t properly train (If? Who am I kidding?) I will at least get my butt moving a little between now and then. Of course their generous 8-hour cutoff time doesn’t do much to encourage me to change my procrastinating ways.

Over coffee I would tell you I am thrilled and excited to have been chosen as a SPIbelt Ambassador for another year. I absolutely love the SPIbelt family, and they continue to come out more fun products! Use SPIAMBASSADOR for 15% off of your purchase!

And last, over coffee I would tell you I am really having fun being more active on social media. My usual go-to is my Instagram page, but I am working diligently on being more active on other platforms. Follow me on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and Strava, and I will be sure to return the follow!

What would you share with me over coffee? Have you ever been to Puerto Vallarta? What is your favorite vacation spot? Drop your social media handles in the comments below!

I’m linking up with Coco and Deborah for the Ultimate Coffee Date and also with Fridays with Fairytale and Fitness!

We only started going to PV about 12 years ago, so I’m not sure what has changed since you were last there. The downtown/Malecon area is very busy but I wouldn’t want to be off the beaten path. We stay in the marina area which is very quiet and beautiful.

  8. Oh gosh. I love traveling but I would be an absolute wreck with all those delays and weather hiccups. I’m a terrible passenger.

London is going to be so incredible for you!

Congratulations on SpiBelt! I’m not a belt wearer, but if I was going to use one, that seems to be the best brand.

Thanks! I usually roll with the punches when it comes to travel delays, but when I need to be somewhere for business, it’s a little more anxiety-provoking. I love SPIbelt. If you ever care to try one, let me know and I can share a discount code!
